How to shoot weddings – 15 tactical tips for new wedding videographers

Did I get carried away with the advice? Maybe? But, if you know me, I LOVE to over-deliver. 😏

If you’re getting ready to shoot your first wedding or you’re relatively new to wedding videography, this one is for you!

If you have no interest in filming weddings but you like random tidbits of advice, you’ll get a little something out of this too!

1. Bring more than you need
2. Plan your day and arrive early.
3. Provide an experience for your clients.
4. Dress smart and wear comfortable shoes
5. Come with a vision but be flexible to how things unfold
6. Shoot at very least two angles
7. Be a team player.
8. Don’t be the photographer’s shadow
9. Build sequences
10. Don’t neglect AUDIO
11. Learn to light
12. Record everything
13. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes or “fail”
14. If it’s in your power to make things better, make them better. (but don’t be a perfectionist)
15. Be confident and Have fun
